“Mrs. Claudia wants her fence to be painted as soon as possible”, said Melissa. Jack and I paint the fences and clean up the backyards of people, for which Aunt Melisa gets paid. Jack hates going to work as he wants to go around with his friends and spend time.

“It was not real!!”, I was lost in my thoughts.

“Hurry up, snail!!”, screamed Jack.

I walked fast. “The dream was so real.” I thought again.

“Walk fast. Will you?”, shouted Jack and caught my elbow to drag me.

“Ouchh”, I screamed out of pain. I folded my arms to see what had happened. It was the same wound that had happened last night while saving the egg.

“Looks like you are badly hurt”, said Jack. I pretended as if nothing had happened. Everything that happened last night hovered in my mind all day. I ran back home after work. I quickly finished my dinner and hurried to sleep.

[In sleep]

Soon I fell asleep. “Grandpa Henry…” “Grandpa…” I looked for him everywhere. I kept walking in the woods looking for Grandpa and Kirk. I felt someone following me. I looked back and it hid.

I went near it to see what it was. It was a baby dino. The dino had three horns on its head, one over each eye, and one on its snout. It had an elaborate head frill. The frill served as a shield for the neck and head. It was a baby triceratops. The Triceratops had a bird-like beak on its mouth.

Grandpa used to tell me many dino stories, and triceratops is my favorite dino. It came near me at once as if it had known me since long back. “Are you lost?”, I asked.

The baby seemed to be lost. It had separated from its group. I decided I will get her back home to her mother. She walked along with me. I told her everything about me. “What do I call you? You poor creature.”. I named her Tracy. She liked her new name. After walking miles, we reached the highest peak of the rock. I could figure out a group of triceratops on the other side of the river. “How do we cross the river?”, I thought. I could spot a plesiosaurus relaxing in the water. I tied a rope on its long tail and tied the other end of it to Tracy. I hopped on Tracy’s back. We crossed to the other side. Tracy ran to her mother. Suddenly, everything seemed blurry to me like last time. I couldn’t see Tracy. She looked at me as if she was losing me.

“Good Morning snail”, said Jack.

I am never going to meet Tracy ever again, just like Grandpa, I thought.
