    HER JOURNEY

Khushboo Sori, an Indian painter, sculptor, proficient graphic artist, landscapist, is currently pursuing Engineering in Jagdalpur city of Chhattisgarh.

Khushboo took an interest in oil and traditional painting during his early years. She found her muse in the roots of Indian society. She included tribal and regional life in her art form and gave them power. Her works went on to be exhibited at various events in India. Some of her popular pencil drawings are human, tiger.

At the age of 6, Khushboo started drawing. This early enthusiasm has now become the driving force to her passion. Her passion for drawing started with her love for colors.

    her innovatives

Khushboo points out that the art market is no longer about the gallery, but also includes publications, funding, and residencies—“a market for not getting paid"—and that she is “present in some form within this". Khushboo Sori didn’t train as an artist, or go to art school—her technical training lies in drawings. Exploring the world of art and craft, Khushboo is perfecting her artwork using Apsara HB black graphite pencil, etc.

Her exuberant nature-inspired pencil drawings combine elements of impressionism and abstraction. Her theme for the artwork is 'Still Alive', as it consists of a portrait of a woman having tears in her eyes. It took approximately one month to complete because she has less time to draw as she is a student.

"I think of India as a region saturated with color. The content of my drawings evolved, based on my experience of the Indian reality - the people, the environment. My themes are traditionally Indian and nature & the environment play an important part in it. The nature of rural Bengal and its vibrant vegetation cast a spell on me, and inspired me to bring out the softness of nature in its varied forms" Khushboo says.
