One of the widely accepted signposts of contemporary art is an artist’s deep conceptual engagement, through which innovative ways of seeing the world emerge. As you read this, Akshata Kulkarni, who is a contemporary artist, is thinking about art, its language, and how self-reflexivity can be made intrinsic to it.

 

 

Akshata Kulkarni is a contemporary realist painter who lives in Maharashtra currently studying the 12th standard.

 

As a child(when she was at the age of 5) Akshata received prizes for her innate talent. From a young age, she has believed, “You can create anything once you see it in your mind.” She is a self-taught artist.

Akshata Kulkarni has a remarkable proficiency and powerful intuitive approach to creativity. Her masterful fusion of realism with abstraction comes to fruition through an innate and harnessed use of color and composition, and deft use of oil paint mixed with cold wax as well as painting with acrylic paint. Mostly she creates quilling paper earrings, handmade paper flowers and other decoratives, bottle art, coffee art. When she feels stressed, she plays with colors, sketchbook. For her art improvement, she follows YouTube videos.

 

The artist is skilled in several different mediums and art forms which include art with recycled glass, handmade paper flowers,  bottle art, coffee art, and other decoratives.

 

"Don't give up on your art, for any reason. keep practicing, you will surely succeed. Have faith in yourself and in your art." the artist said.

 

Prizes/Awards

Her art has been selected for several juried online exhibitions, through which she has won “Ganesh Chaturthi art" in which she received a gold medal and certificate. She is also the recipient of awards from Spenowr as a 3rd winner of the craft category.

 



She would like to thank spenowr at first, for providing the best platform for all aspiring artists, who really wish to grow well. She also likes to thank her school drawing teachers and friends who helped her a lot for praising her works.
